Karamaat

A small artisan shop at Qayaam Gah

At Qayaam Gah and Sukoon, we have partnered with local artisans to offer our guests an authentic connection to Kashmir’s rich craftsmanship. Through our curated walks, guests can witness the intricate process of Pashmina weaving firsthand, tracing this exquisite art back to its source.

In everyday language, Karamaat means ‘miracle’, but in the spiritual vocabulary of Sufism, it also signifies ‘unusual skills’, a fitting name for our collection that showcases the very best of Kashmir’s artisanal heritage.

Among the highlights of Karamaat are:

  • Exquisite Pashmina Shawls: Woven locally from the softest goat hair, these shawls are celebrated worldwide for their luxurious texture and timeless elegance.
  • Traditional Kashmiri Pheran: A knee-length woolen garment, beautifully hand-embroidered with intricate floral patterns, adding both warmth and style to any wardrobe.
  • Soft Woolen Blankets: Crafted for comfort and warmth, perfect for cozy evenings.
  • Pure Organic Honey & Saffron: Ethically sourced from local farmers, bringing you the finest natural produce from Kashmir.

By choosing Karamaat, guests not only take home a piece of Kashmir’s legacy but also help sustain age-old crafts that have been passed down for generations.
